“ Favorite banh mi in Portland. The flavor is right, the bread is crispy but not hard and won't hurt your palate, and price is right. If I could complain about anything, the price could be even lower (I've had cheaper banh mi in Toronto or Houston) but in Portland this is the best flavor and I'm pretty sure best price too. Everything on the menu is good but I particularly recommend the dac biet, xiu mai, and heo nuong. ”

Their combination banh mi one of the best we found in the area and my partner loves their vegetarian banh mi, which rivals ones even from Westminster, LA. If you're not into banh mi's, this place also has great selections of Vietnamese savory snacks, like their stuffed rice rolls, dippable beef stew, and those saucer looking white things with shrimp powder and fried scallions. ”

We tried the grilled beef, pork, and beef stew sandwich—our daughter thought it was a bit sweet, but I liked the hint of jalapeño (she skipped it).
